The vibrant hues of the Mexican sunset painted the sky as the Carnival Firenze glided into the Cabo San Lucas harbor. This wasn't a fleeting glimpse of paradise; we were spending two full days in this captivating destination, a luxurious perk of our cruise aboard this stunning new ship.

Having two full days in Cabo allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the local culture and experience the best of what this vibrant destination has to offer.

• Day 1: Thrills and Spills

Our first day was a whirlwind of adventure. We embarked on an exhilarating camel ride with Cabo Adventures, traversing the rugged desert landscape under the watchful eye of our experienced guide. He shared fascinating stories about the region's history and culture, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

Later, we were sat at family style tables and served the most delicious meal. We talked about our adventure from the day while our guide was setting up the next part of the tour. As we ate, we were shown how to make corn tortillas from scratch! It was an experience I will remember for a long time.

After the tables were cleared the real fun started, TEQUILA TASTING! We tried 4 different tequilas one being a mezcal, trust me they were small portions or I would be on my ass! They were all really tasty and I was surprised to have liked the smokey taste of the mezcal. There was one called the baby maker and let’s just say my husband left with one bottle that we tasted and I’m sure you know which.

• Day 2: Relaxation and Exploration

On our second day, we opted for a more relaxed pace. We spent the morning lounging on the pristine beaches of Medano, the soft sand warming our feet and the gentle waves lapping at the shore.

In the afternoon, we wandered through the bustling markets of Cabo San Lucas, browsing for unique souvenirs and handcrafted treasures. We indulged in delicious Mexican cuisine, savoring the vibrant flavors and lively atmosphere of the local eateries.
