You know how every little girl dreams of going to Paris? I know I know, this is about Italy so why are you yapping about Italy? Simply because I think every little girl should be dreaming of eating gelato in the streets of Rome. Every girl should know who Lizzie McGuire is and want to have a their Italian moment and find their Paulo (well more like Gordo because he was the true love of Lizzie’s life.)
What I’m saying is, start that Pinterest board for your Italian Summer and MAKE IT HAPPEN. I can say so much about Italy because it truly lives up to the hype. Yes…. Venice really is that pretty and yes the food in Rome is absolutely incredible.
Let’s be real though, the REAL star of Italy is none other than Positano! I have to spend most of my energy and breath on the key reason of why no other place will EVER compare. His name is Peter.
Positano Home Cooking
In the most beautiful home perched on the side of a cliff overlooking the Spiaggia Grande lives the sweetest, most talent, and quick-witted man I’ve ever met. Peter’s company and jokes were just as much a reason to book a cooking experience with him as his food was. Don’t even get me started on his cooking yet…. I can go for hours.
Upon arriving at Peter’s home you see a chalkboard with the menu that Peter and the class will be preparing that evening. You are greeted with a warm Italian welcome and of course a nice glass of wine to get the party started. Mingling with others who are visiting Positano and sharing excitement for the night to come.

Peter and his amazing team explain the process and flow of the evening while starting to prepare the first course. Wine continues to flow as you are having hands on experience of helping prepare the appetizers and getting to know the others around you.

Immediately feeling like one big Italian family, we eat the most amazing meal and take in the beautiful view from Peter’s balcony. We were lucky enough to stay incredibly close to where the cooking experience in Peter’s home. I will include the link to our airbnb here! I plan on writing about our experience there in the future as I could not recommend staying here enough! Look at this view!!

Peter was our very first experience upon arriving in Positano (after getting a major upgrade at our airbnb and getting a MASSIVE balcony) so we couldn’t have asked for better. He not only made us the most insanely delicious meal, but took us to his wine cellar under his home. This man has the most amazing collection of wine that I have ever witnessed. We got to all pick a different bottle based on our taste and we shared them all between the group! Such a one of a kind experience and I highly recommend. Here is a link to book with Peter and his team!

I could write for hours about this experience but I think everyone just needs to try it for themselves. Words will never do come close to what this night meant and still means to us. We will be talking about this forever to anyone who will listen. Peter, you are a gem and WE LOVE YOU.
